Love Luggage of Aiken Founders Letter

Many children in foster care face significant change in short amount of time. Some of these children are forced to relocate with only a minutes’ notice. This sudden change can sometimes be traumatic. It takes a long time to adjust to such a drastic change, and the transition is not always smooth. In most cases these children have on a few possessions stored in a grocery bag.

Our goal is not make a difference by making the transition easier for these foster children. We have created an organization called Love Luggage that will give foster children a nice piece of luggage to provide them with a sense of stability during times of abrupt and unexpected change. Our goal is for every foster child in Aiken Count, South Carolina, to own his or her very own piece of luggage to store personal belongings.

We request your support as we set out to accomplish this goal. Donations of new pilot sized luggage or a monetary donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated. The smallest contribution will help to make a difference in these c hildren’s lives. Please consider supporting Love Luggage and changing the life of a foster child in Aiken.
